The Allegheny River Valley Aquarium Society will hold its annual Tropical Fish, Aquatic Plants and Aquarium Supplies Auction on Sunday, October 13, at the John J. The City of Olean Youth and Recreation Department is sponsoring an appearance of “The Pumpkin Patch”, a special show for children of all ages.  The show takes place Friday, October 18, from 4-5:30, at the former St. John’s School on North Union Street.  “Pumpkin Patch” is a product of Creative Learning Shows.com, and features live animals, a comedy magic show, and interactive events for each child…each child picks out their own pumpkin, and each group makes its own scarecrow.  The event is free.

Jamestown Community College’s Olean Campus and the Tri-County Arts Council’s “Art in the Quad”, scheduled for Saturday, October 19, at the JCC Campus, has been postponed.  The event is now tentatively scheduled to take place in Spring.   Art exhibits, a juried fine arts show, music and food trucks are planned for the event.
